Maria Claudia Marks was born in Colombia South America. Prior to settling in Northern Virginia, she previously lived and worked in Florida and Minnesota. Maria has been in the beauty and health industry for over twenty years. She has represented some of the most prestigious companies in this field, working as a Beauty Consultant for Neiman-Marcus, Saks Fith Avenue, and with Channel, Sisley, Christian Dior, and the La Prairie companies.

She also has worked with Cory Everson's Health & Fitness and Lady's of America Fitness in Florida. Later on in her career, she founded Claudia Roldani Italian Design, manufacturers of fine leather goods to upscale boutiques.

 

Experiences learned while working with clients for the companies mentioned above, taught Maria about the many problems the human body can endure, brought on by stress, chemical changes to the body, lifestyle, habits, and other circumstances that affect our life processes. Her inspiration, wanting to help her clients improve their quality of life and cope with their health problems, took Maria back to college to study and become a licensed massage therapist. Maria believes that massage therapy can be a powerful ally and tool in your overall healthcare and beauty regiment.

Maria graduated from Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) School of Massage. She is certified as a massage therapist by the Commonwealth of Virginia and a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).

Maria's experience in the massage field comes from working with healthcare professionals in clinics, assisted living centers, and at athletic events including the Marine Corps Marathon. She has authored case studies in the use of massage in treating Lyme disease and in the treatment of Achilles Tendon injuries. Her practical experience also includes the treatment of patients with a stress fracture of the foot, arthritis, lateral ankle sprains, herniated discs, scoliosis, and frozen shoulder. Maria has been praised for her dedication and for helping her clients reach their personal goals. She participates in community events throughout the Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia regions.

 

Maria enjoys reading and regular exercise. She is continually studying and training in new massage techniques to bring the latest advancements in the field of health and wellness to her clients.
